Overview
A signage platform for digital menu boards and in-store displays across the restaurant group. Content is managed centrally and pushed to screens remotely — price changes, promos, and menu updates go live everywhere in minutes with consistent branding.
The problem
Menu and price changes meant printing, driving to stores, and hoping every location got updated. Screens drifted out of sync, promos launched late, and branding varied by store.
Architecture
A central CMS stores layouts, playlists, and schedules. Display clients on each screen maintain a WebSocket connection for instant pushes, cache content locally to survive network drops, and report health so dead screens are caught remotely.
architecture-diagramCMS → push service (WebSocket) → display clients with offline cache + health reporting
